The original Skipper was launched in 1994 and for Piaggio it was a revolution. This was the very first time there had been an Automatic 125cc scooter with any degree of style and performance. Over the years, what had been radical styling gradually becomes bland, and it’s time for a re-think. This is just what Piaggio have done, in a major way! The wheels have gone up to 12', using the forks from the Runner. A Twin piston caliper is used to improve braking. The bodywork has been totally revised; a new slimmer legshield with a higher centre section combines with higher handlebars that now include hand protection. The power unit is the new LEADER Four-Stroke design, so expect 60mph performance with sparkling acceleration, and this is still an electric start fully twist & go fully automatic scooter! Under seat helmet storage is provided, and there are flip out footrests for your passenger, with a combined rear carrier/grab handle setup. A very nice integrated & colour coded top-box is avaialable too!
